Scenic white winters
There is plenty of winter magic in Japan. The northern parts of the country become blanketed in bright white snow from around mid-November until early spring, giving those planning a scenic winter wedding plenty of opportunities to book their preferred dates. Even further south in Tokyo and Kyoto, some couples may be lucky enough to experience snow on their wedding day during the colder months of January and February.
It's the ideal season in which to hold a Japanese Wedding Experience or Photo Wedding Experience wearing a traditional white kimono at a temple. Wedding guests will be awestruck by the sight of Japan’s beautiful temples and shrines covered in a layer of bright white powder with sparkling icicles hanging from the traditional curved roofs.
If the cold weather isn’t for you, head south to Okinawa, which remains warm even during mainland Japan’s coldest months. There, you can enjoy a Full Wedding Ceremony at one of the many tropical resorts or hold an intimate renewal of vows on the beach at sunset.
